How does the protection work?
BioCor® PowerChips work according to the VCI method. VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor. These inhibitors are released within closed packaging and wrap themselves around like an invisible protective cover, that prevents the metal from reacting with air and moisture. After unpacking, the VCI evaporates without leaving any residue. This means that the packed item can be used directly without additional cleaning.

BioCor® PowerChips are eco-friendly corrosion protection emitters made from our PowerBoard and containing a particularly high concentration of our BioVCI®.
They are the ideal solution when highly corrosion-sensitive components need to be protected quickly, as they release large amounts of VCI in a very short time. Thanks to their compact size, PowerChips can be placed flexibly throughout the packaging area, even in tight spaces. This ensures that the corrosion-inhibiting atmosphere is established particularly quickly.
